Description

A 4 bore single barrel hammer wild fowling gun by J W Tolley serial number 5951 which dates it to circa 1886, the damascus barrel is in good condition with no pitting in the bore, smooth on the outside with no rust but the damascus does require re browning,see one picture , black powder proof but possible it could be nitro proofed, wall thickness appears good but I have no gauge to measure this size. The action face has some minor pitting from historical use, stock and action all good with the under lever closing to a tight fit on the face of the barrels, flip up sights to 100 and 120 yards , one sight missing in the slot,very rare and usable gun at a fair price allowing for any subsequent cosmetic work.
